Assigning Notation
Click the “+” button to brings up the “Select Notation Score or Guitar/Bass Tablature” file panel.
You can load a complete musical score into a slide.
The two supported formats are MusicXML and GuitarPro’s GP4.
If you use GuitarPro 5 or 6, export as GP4 before adding a file to a slide.
MusicXML support vary immensely from one application to the next. Since MakeMusic Inc. is the main maintainer of the format, their Finale product was found to generate the best MusicXML output.
GuitarPro only export the tablature -- not the standard treble or bass staves that can be seen in the application. Lessonator™ fixes that by creating a standard treble or bass staff that matches the tablature.
The music notation feature in Lessonator™ is relatively basic and may not be able to interpret complex or advanced music notations and symbols.
